关键词:中学英语 教学 肢体语言一、绪论众所周知,课堂教学是学生学习英语最重要的方式之一,就中学英语教学来说,教师必须激发学生的兴趣(或引起学生的注意),以便把英语学得更好。激发学生兴趣的方法很多,这些方法能帮助他们把英语学得更好,肢体语言在英语教学中的使用就是其中的一种。肢体语言是人与人之间相互沟通的一种重要的媒介,它归属于人们的面部表情和手势的形状(或范畴),在交流中,人们用这些表情和手势来表达他们的感情。肢体语言专家Fen Lafle Angles 曾经说过:“假如失去了肢体语言,婴儿不可能成长为一个正常人”(其实)青少年也如此。在学校教育中,肢体语言在培养学生的性格特征方面扮演着积极的角色。因为,教师通常是受人尊敬的,所以,实际上,教师说什么、做什么;如何说如何做很可能会被学生模仿(有时是下意识的)。总之,教师优美的肢体语言有助于提高学生的艺术欣赏能力和道德品质。如果学生精美的肢体语言得到发展,就有可能导致他们形成积极乐观的思想情操,他们就会拥有(形成)更加平滑(和谐)的人与人之间的关系。教师的肢体语言对学生的影响,不但表现在(它能)树立好榜样上,还表现在肢体语言创造了更为诙谐幽默的(课堂)气氛,缩短了师生之间的疏远。事实上,教师友好的外表,能极大的鼓励学生的学习积极性。而且,为了达到理论和知识的提取的高效而丰富,也(同样)要求生动、活泼、极富感染力的姿态(手势)。结果,学生的学习兴趣得到了推动,教师的教学效率(也就)提高了。二、肢体语言在英语教学中的必要性和重要性英语教学是学校教育中的一个关键部分。随着英语教学法的改革,越来越多的英语教师(注重)英语教学过程的有机化,以便实现英语交流。英语交流就意味着教师基本上用英语教导学生和解释问题,也要求学生在课堂上使用英语。然而,学生在中学时期不能讲得很好,也不明白为什么在不同的时间和场合应该使用不同的语调,他们的词汇量和表达能力也都存在局限性。这些局限性使得在课堂上实现英语交流变得困难。根据学生的现有水平和实际情况,肢体语言就显得很必要了。例如,当教师发出一条指令:“你们两个,请到黑板跟前来。”如果教师看着(或指着)某两个学生,那么同学们很容易明白。然后,教师指向黑板,同学们就会毫无障碍的执行指令,即便他们对关键词“黑板”听不太清楚。此外,在通常情况下,教师得解释一些语言点,每当这个时候,他们得区分公式和例子。例如,我们应该用“have done”这个形式(公式),像“Have you finished that job yet?” (例子)为了使学生理解更为透彻,教师有多种多样的方法。通过控制速度,读 “We ought to use the form‘have done’”时,用普通的速度,而举例子时读得很慢,还能够通过重复例子“Have you finished that job yet” 取得而得到此效果。一个常用的方法是运用手势强调重点,当他说“have done”时(同时借助低音来强调),伸出手指,暂停在空中,然后给出例子。这个动作通常会给学生留下深刻的印象。从以上例子我们可以得知,肢体语言在英语教学中的运用是必须的,也是实用的,在中学英语教学中,肢体语言频繁的被使用,以改善教学效率,提高学生的能力。三、肢体语言在听、说、读、写中的具体应用1.肢体语言有助于提高听力希腊哲学家埃皮克提图曾机敏的说过:“大自然给我们一条舌头两只耳朵,是要我们听是说的两倍。”从这句谚语中我们可以看出听力在我们的日常生活中是何等的重要。听懂别人是英语教学的最基本目标,因此,教师经常训练学生的听力。在此训练过程中,如能用上肢体语言,效果会更佳。在开始一篇新课时,教师(往往)会用英语讲述故事的大致轮廓,(此时)肢体语言可能就派上用场了。比如,当老师在说:“She is in a very big room.” 时,可以慢慢的张开双臂;而说:“She is so beautiful a lady.”时,可以把双眼睁得大大的,同时开着嘴。如此,学生学生心中会产生这样的印象:她实在是很漂亮;在教学过程中能够模仿动物的声音和动作的老师肯定能取得更佳的教学效果。2.肢体语言有助于提高说的能力口语是实现交流的重要途径之一,因此,我样应该尽量发展学生“说”的能力。实际上,通过教师的手势语,有助于学生的口语达到某个特定程度的目标。当代(英语教学)重心已逐渐落在了英语口语教学上了。高中英语每个单元的第一课都是以对话开始的,英语课程标准要求教师根据对话特点来组织训练英语(口语),一般的讲,肢体语言能唤起和维持学生学生学习和使用英语的兴趣,在英语课上,教师应该不但自己要使用肢体语言,还应该要求学生根据不同的情形使用肢体语言。例如,第一册第一单元的第一课,就是关于学生们第一次见面而彼此还不认识(这样的一个对话),所以,教师可以先作自我介绍,比如,“同学们好,很高兴在这与大家邂逅,现在我向大家作自我介绍,我叫亚瑟,我爱打篮球,因为,它使我很强壮;我喜爱象棋,因为,它让我变得更聪明;我喜欢阅读,因为,读书能使人尽善尽美”。在介绍的过程中,教师应该使用生词和句子结构,同时尽可能地配以生动的表情和手势。向学生问好时,面带笑容;说:“Nice to meet you .”时,和学生握手;将名字写在黑板上;模仿运球投篮、下棋、翻书的等动作来说明自己的爱好。介绍完后,教师可以创造一个环境供学生练习:“玛丽和杰克是新同学,他们一起走在街上,(这时)他们遇见了杰克的一个老朋友――杨裴,然后杰克把杨裴和玛丽彼此作了介绍”。练习之后,对话也就自然地从中得到了介绍。通常,在各种不同场合使用肢体语言,将导致功课颇具吸引力和很成功。3.肢体语言有助于提高阅读能力高中英语的教学目的就是培养学生说和写的初步能力。在高中阶段,我们很强调阅读能力,以便学生更进一步学习。在此,我们主要说说朗读的益处。朗读有助于学生掌握正确的语音和语调,并发展词汇的发音、拼写和意思之间的关联。此外,它还有助于学生发掘文章的内在主旨、欣赏语言的美感。有一位语言学家说过:“诗,只有读过,才真正成为诗”。朗读是中学阶段的基础,教师要充分运用肢体语言来发展学生的朗读能力。读句子要注意哪儿该轻柔,哪儿该强调;哪儿该升,哪儿该降,为了把问题说清,我们不妨模仿音乐教学中常用的强拍和弱拍,它们使用弧形来表现不同的音调。一般地说,我们在陈述句和特殊疑问句中用降调,在选择疑问句中是前升后降。然而,中学生不常使用甚至拒绝这些调子,在肢体语言的帮助下,他们能够更为容易的解决问题。例如,他们用手势。在读选择疑问句时,读升调时升起他们的手,读降调时放下他们的手,训练几次之后,一读这些句子他们就会提醒自己手势,结果,他们将毫无问题地正确朗读这些句子。总之,生动的手势配以流利的英语能够营造出一个好的英语学习环境,这无疑在提高学生的阅读能力方面扮演着积极角色。4.肢体语言有助于提高学生的写作能力写作是学习语言的“四能”之一,它是如此重要的一种技能,以至于要是没有它,人们就算是会说也不能和别人交流。学生不仅要掌握英语知识和词汇,还要具备利用口语和书面语交流的能力,正如课程标准中要求的那样。从广度上讲,“写”比“说”更重要得多,因为它能够扩展,而不受空间和时间的限制。既然学生把学习英语当作是一种交流媒体,他们就应该拥有写作的能力。为了摆脱学生枯燥而疲倦的情绪,英语教师必须使用每一种可能的教学方法,这同样适用于写作。为了提高学生的写作能力,教师运用不同的方法,这些方法中,肢体语言的运用能够加深目标的印象,这在发展学生的写作能力方面是很高效的。语言学家富兰克林曾经说过:“告诉我,我会忘记;教我,我会记住;让我潜心研究,我将学会。”如果我们叫学生写一篇不熟悉的文章,他们或许不会写,变得很气馁,但是,如果他们有丰富的经历,那他样就能写出很优秀的文章,在课内外,我都应该让学生参加一些与英语相关的活动,并让他们把它写下来,比如参加“冬天的第一场雪”,在美丽的大雪中开心玩耍,获得了一定的启示,学生就能写出更好的作文。与他们的想象力相比,学生被老师和他们自己的动作留下了更加深刻的印象,这些无疑有助于写出好文章。四、结论学习英语需要大量的实践练习。45课堂分钟是十分宝贵和应该珍惜的,在这45分钟内,学生应该尽可能的练习。为了充分发挥有限的时间,就要求教师采用着实有效的教学方法。肢体语言的运用不但能吸引学生的注意力,还能加深学生的印象的丰富学生的想象力。使用肢体语言完全符合“听觉-视觉”教学原理客观要求。因此,教师应该选用相应(得体)的肢体语言自始至终用英语进行教学,最终,学生的英语能力势必得以极大的提高。
